4. Survivor Series - Bryan Changes The Climate

What Happened: Daniel Bryan makes us all believe - if for just the tinest moment - that he can break the typical Brock cycle, until he falls at The Beast's feet like so many before him.

The familiarity of the outcome wasn't enough to dim the afterglow of a truly spellbinding main event. Daniel Bryan, freshly reinvigorated from his sudden heel turn and title win, proved some things never leave you as he achieved that rare modern feat of investing fans in a seeming Brock Lesnar squash.

He also achieved that other increasingly impossible thing - he demonstrated it's still possible to invest in WWE in 2018. A wonderful wrestling match is really all it takes.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
