WWE's 53 Wrestlers Ranked From Worst To Best

51. Hornswoggle

Pros:

1. The gimmickiest of all gimmicks

2. Sometimes entertaining for younger audience members

3. Can provide cheap laughs

Cons:

1. Often relegated to childish comedy matches (read: ‘This is Stupid’)

2. Hasn’t had any real gimmick or storyline since ‘Santa Claus’ gave him his voice

3. It was funnier to watch Finlay toss him like a weapon than it is to watch him wrestle

Hornswoggle is what you get when you take a long-standing wrestling tradition, in this case, midget wrestling, and turn it into a total farce. He was a joke from the beginning, and his sole purpose has been to remind wrestling fans of Vince McMahon’s twisted sense of humor.

Among the myriad of crimes against wrestling he has committed by order of the powers that be include: his feud with Chavo Guerrero in 2009, being the last WWE Cruiserweight Champion, and wearing an alligator costume in a match against El Torito. He was also revealed to be Mr. McMahon’s illegitimate son, ruining a perfect opportunity to build a major star for the future.

Hornswoggle was last seen in that ridiculous gator outfit in late 2014. Hopefully, when he comes back, because Vince has to have someone representing his idea of what’s funny, he won’t be doing anything that receives the fan response of, ‘This is Stupid’.
