WWE's All-Time Gate Record Just Got Broken By WrestleMania 40
WWE just can't stop breaking records!
WWE just broke ANOTHER record, with the company breaking its all-time gate record in just one day.
Said record was smashed in the wake of WrestleMania 40 tickets going on sale to the general public yesterday, and it was eventually noted that WWE have actually already moved a staggering 90,000+ tickets for the upcoming two-day extravaganza at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
This was confirmed by sports business reporter Darren Rovell on X, who also explained that this monumental amount of tickets sold meant that WWE had broken their all-time gate record of $21.5 million at last year's LA WrestleMania.
JUST IN: WrestleMania 40 went on sale today and has already broken @wwe’s all-time gate record ($21.5M at WrestleMania 39 in LA).
More than 90,000 tickets sold so far to the two-day event at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia in April 2024.

Wrestlenomics' Brandon Thurston would later add how AEW's upcoming All In Wembley Stadium one-day PPV will also likely boast a huge gate, but one that will be "well short of $21.5M."
This must be WWE’s answer if AEW at Wembley comes up: They’ve already sold 90,000 and Wrestlemania is still 7+ months away.
AdvertisementAll In might not reach 90,000 paid. Gate will be huge but well short of $21.5M.2-day vs 1-day is far enough into the weeds for media and B2B consumption. https://t.co/Efv9CRgAZT

The fact fans are currently living through a time when two separate companies have managed to sell over 80,000 tickets for separate huge events, though, is still pretty damn remarkable.
All In also made history over the last day, breaking the all-time record for paid tickets for an event, previously held by WrestleMania 32, according to the latest update from WrestleTix.
