Bianca Belair has pledged to make 2021 a "special year" for her career in an interview with Sports Illustrated.

The SmackDown Superstar wasn't officially a member of the WWE main roster when she lasted 34 minutes in 2020's Royal Rumble entering from #2 before she was eliminated by Charlotte Flair. With seven eliminations, she had one of the strongest showings that night, and is keen to repeat history at next year's show.

"I'm really excited for 2021, and I'm calling it right now—it's going to be a special year for Bianca Belair to stand out and shine, starting with the Royal Rumble," said Belair. I didn't find out I was going to be part of it [Royal Rumble match] last year until the night before, and I was still able to go out there and last over 30 minutes. It will be even better this year. I want to win the Royal Rumble and use that as my path straight into WrestleMania."

Belair's been on a tear over the last few months following a fairly muted start to life on the main roster earlier this year. There's no better time of the year to find form though - 'The EST of WWE' will be a hot favourite heading into the upcoming January spectacle.
