As it stands, Kofi Kingston is scheduled to take on Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, LA Knight and Karrion Kross on this week's SmackDown, with the winner of that match earning themselves a shot at GUNTHER's Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 39.

It remains to be seen whether Kofi will still be a part of this contest, and likewise it remains to be seen whether the New Day man will have to miss any substantial ring time as he heals up.
