Before heading to the WWE Darren 'Droz' Drozdov played in the NFL for the Denver Bronkos. Starting his wrestling career in the independent circuit, Drozdov was initially given the name Puke on joining WWE. This was due to a past incident of throwing up during a NFL game.

He reached the semi finals where he controversially lost to Bradshaw. On viewing it looked like Drozdov was the clear winner but creative scoring gave Bradshaw the win. Soon after Drozdov was involved in the infamous "Hawk Is Drunk" story line before the Road Warriors left the company.

Unfortunately on October 5 1999 Drozdov was the victim on an in-ring accident. A botched powerbomb by D'Lo Brown ended his wrestling career leaving him paralyzed from the neck down. He has since regained movement in his upper body and arms but is still wheelchair bound. Although he has gained a degree of independence he still requires round the clock care and supervision. He holds no ill feeling towards Brown.

After the accident Drozdov became a writer for WWE, contributing regular articles and columns for their website and magazines. Today he resides in South Jersey.
