WWF Brawl For All: Where Are They Now?

3. The Godfather

Bart Gunn Brawl For All
WWE

Charles Wright had had various gimmicks in wrestling, such Papa Shango and Kama, before landing on The Godfather, a role that seemed to suit him perfectly. Before wrestling he had worked as a bouncer and had the ability to knock someone out just by giving them a slap across the face.

The most surprising thing to learn from this weeks Dark Side Of The Ring episode is that Wright was stoned before everyone of his Brawl For All matches. After losing to Dan Severn in the first round, he was allowed to progress to the quarter finals due to Severn pulling out. There he beat 2 Cold Scorpio on points before getting knocked out in the semis by Bart Gunn. Wright later admitted that smoking pot led to him not paying Gunn enough respect beforehand.

Wright pretty much continues with The Godfather character to this day. He left WWE in 2002 but still makes the odd guest appearance on TV. He still competes on the independent circuit from time to time.

When he is not appearing at wrestling shows he manages Cheetah's strip club in Las Vegas. A case of life, most definitely, imitating art.
