5 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Monday Night Raw (24 November - Results & Review)

1. Main Event Disaster

WWE Raw Jey Uso Logan Paul
WWE

A Raw main event featuring the Usos and Logan Paul already had a lot working against it, but even the most cynical critic couldn’t have expected the kind of sloppy, lethargic slop WWE served up Monday night.

Logan Paul and Jey Uso had a horrific spot early on where Jey shot Paul into the corner and looked to lift him up for a backbreaker, but Logan stumbled out and wrapped himself around Uso’s back before being dropped onto the mat. It didn’t get much better, with Paul looking lost and stumbling about.

Drew McIntyre came in and was a technical wizard by comparison, but even he wasn’t exactly on fire against the Usos. The match limped along until Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Cody Rhodes, and CM Punk ran down for the inevitable ringside brawl, which provided the distraction for Logan to roll up Jimmy Uso to give the heels the WarGames advantage.

If a new wrestling fan watched that match and was told that the Usos are rated by WWE as one of the best tag teams in their company’s history, they probably would assume either the person was lying, or all tag wrestling stunk to high heaven.

And Logan Paul… can everyone just admit that he has completely plateaued as a performer? He has shown zero growth for quite some time now, and if anything, he’s regressed. He looks increasingly lost in the ring; his flashy spots have become fewer and farther between; and the heat and interest in his matches has waned significantly. It’s a toss-up for who adds less to the product at this moment: Paul or Brock Lesnar.
