3 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (29 December - Results & Review)

3. A Perplexing End To Vaquer’s 2025

Stephanie Vaquer Nikki Bella Raquel Rodriguez

For much of 2025, Stephanie Vaquer seemed to be on the constant ascent. She captured accolades and titles while wowing WWE fans with her in-ring action, en route to a surprising Women’s World Championship victory this autumn. However, her close to the year has been less than stellar.

Vaquer has been mired in an ongoing feud with Nikki Bella and Raquel Rodriguez, and while there have been some good moments, there has been a noticeable drop-off in in-ring quality and a bit of a loss of her luster.

Monday’s triple threat between the women had some good moments – Bella locking in an STF and drawing a “Thank You, Cena” chant that she rebuffed with “No, thank me!” was fantastic – but several of the spots were incredibly contrived, including Nikki having to wait an eternity to charge Vaquer on the floor so Rodriguez could get into position. The Tower of Doom spot – which always looks contrived anyway – looked terrible here, with Stephanie basically climbing right into a superplex and launching herself off the top rope.

The match, though, was overly long and had a bizarre ending, with Raquel dropping Bella with a Tejana Bomb and Vaquer – the babyface champion – tossing heel Rodriguez out of the ring and pinning heel Nikki, or in WWE parlance, when a heel does it, “stealing the pin.”

If the goal was to put sympathy on Rodriguez, there were other ways to do that without making La Primera look like every WWE sneaky heel.
