4 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (5 Dec - Results & Review)

1. Wasn’t Feeling This Squash

Jade Cargill Alba Fyre

Jade Cargill ran straight through Alba Fyre in 90 seconds or so. That's it - that was the match.

Look, on the surface there's nothing especially wrong with a physical marvel like Jade mowing through challengers like she's paid for a bodycount. There really isn't, but how long does it go on for? This whole thing feels backwards, to be honest. Cargill should probably be past this sort of thing by now, and she should certainly be telling B-FAB and Michin to jog on.

That duo's skit with Jade backstage had already been done to death. Seriously, what did any of these women say that was different from last time? FAB is still acting like she'd intimidated by Cargill's mere presence, Michin is writing checks with her mouth she won't be able to cash inside the ring, and Jade is repeating the same 'step up and get stepped on' lines.

Chelsea Green was at ringside for the Cargill vs. Fyre match, but she got into it with Giulia and Kiana James. Yeah, the whole exercise felt fairly pointless. Jade gained nothing by squashing Alba, and Giulia has become that big an afterthought it’s now hard to care about anything she’s doing. How did we get here with SmackDown's women's division?!

Bianca Belair cannot return soon enough for Cargill. That's the sort of big time rival Jade badly needs right now, because she can't keep mixing it with the Women's United States group and some hangers on like B-FAB and Michin for much longer. Jade vs. Green has some value, but that's about it.
