On the plus side, the women's tag-team division is a bit more spirited and competitive. At least there are multiple teams vying to become champs across both Raw and SmackDown. On Friday's show, Alexa Bliss vs. Kairi Sane was a perfectly fine singles outing for both, and the involvement of Charlotte Flair and Asuka around ringside made sense given everything else that's been going on between these women.

No problems with any of this booking, basically.

Bliss scoring the win puts she and Charlotte in frame for a title rematch, but Lash legend and Nia Jax also annihilated everyone post-match to stand tall with the belts. This is all somehow more interesting without the forced WarGames stuff, which speaks volumes about the set up for Survivor Series. It must also be said that this fracas was the best use of everyone involved.

Sane is way better in a tag context with Asuka that she is as a singles star, but both she and Alexa have some chemistry. Kairi likely enjoyed working with somebody she's ever so slightly taller than too. That doesn't happen often! It meant WWE avoided an odd fighting from underneath story with the heel, which could've been awkward.

The women's WarGames match last weekend was a complete and utter waste of everybody's time, but it's lovely to see creative find something worth clinging on to coming out of that scenario. Now, a Triple Threat or Fatal-4-Way showdown (also involving Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez) wouldn't go amiss on TV soon.

That match could easily headline on Raw or SmackDown.
