Survivor Series 2025 could not be described as a killer PLE. In fact, some are bashing the event as one of the worst since Triple H took the pen a few years ago. WWE plonked just 4 matches on the card, and it really seemed that entrances and ads were more important than the action itself. Jey Uso hammered that home by pausing mid-WarGames match to run back his crowd interaction.

Look, pomp and circumstance has always been vital to WWE's success, and nobody's suggesting they shouldn't do it. However, they really need to pick their moments better and flesh some of these shows out so they seem worth the price of admission. People flocking to Petco Park in San Diego on Saturday night did not get value for money. It's actually kinda remarkable that the live crowd were as noisy as they were considering what was served up.

Only John Cena vs. Dominik Mysterio and the men's WarGames encounter had some sizzle. Stephanie Vaquer vs. Nikki Bella was barely passable, and the women's WarGames match just shouldn't have happened. That would've benefitted from being a traditional elimination bout, if anything.

So, where do WWE go next? The immediate answer is Monday's episode of Raw, then the 13 December Saturday Night's Main Event. Liv Morgan returned at Survivors, and there's the masked man issue to thrash out too. Some outlets might've already given the game away on that one, so a swerve could be incoming. Probably not though. Someone's about to get his first major push in a while, it seems.

Here's what's likely in the pipeline.

8. Finding A Big Feud For Stephanie Vaquer

Nikki Bella was a fine enough speed bump challenger, but Stephanie Vaquer really deserves a fully-fleshed feud that can roll over a few months to work with as Women’s World Champ. Satisfying stories and great character work are how people get over around here, and it’s important WWE realises Stephanie needs that right now.

She is over to a point, of course, but badly needs a landmark rivalry.

Every great title reign needs one of those. She's actually in a similar position to Ilja Dragunov over on SmackDown with the United States Title: Both are excellent workers, and Triple H knows he can rely on them to produce matches that never drop below passable, but the pair require a little seasoning so they don't get boring. Again, it's character and storylines that matter in WWE. They always have.

Survivor Series should be a one and done situation between Vaquer and Bella. It's blatantly obvious that Trips would be doing Nikki a huge favour by dropping her into the tag-team scene for a while, and there isn't much chemistry between she and Steph to necessitate a rematch. It'd be super boring if they were lazily slapped onto SNME just for the sake of it.

Maybe WWE are sitting around waiting on a WrestleMania challenger to emerge from the Royal Rumble for Vaquer. Fair enough, but that's around 2 months away, and that's simply too long to tread water when she's already been doing just that since bagging the belt. Give her a blood feud, please, and quickly.
