1. Murder Man Was The First Person To Kill Superman With Kryptonite
In the 1966 story, Superman #188, an alien hitman called Zunial the Murder Man travels to Earth to kill the Man of Steel. (Since Superman had no connection with Zunial, his people, or his planet, I have no idea why this alien desires to kill The Last Son of Krypton.) Nevertheless, Zunial is so desperate to kill him, he practised with a Superman-android on his home planet.
Zunial reveals that the most efficient way to defeat Supes is to transmit Kryptonite through radio-waves (despite the fact that doesn't make any sense). What makes this plan dumber is that it actually works! A guy with the ridiculous name of Murder Man managed to kill the world’s greatest superhero using radio waves. To celebrate, Zunial transports Superman's corpse to his home planet of Zarria.
A peaceful group of Zarrians are so enraged by Zunial's evil, they activate the Superman-android to revive Superman. After Supes is resuscitated, he defeats Zunial and flies back to Earth.
Despite the fact this is the only story that Murder Man appeared in and he is mostly forgotten, he has the honour of being the first supervillain to successfully kill Superman with Kryptonite.
