7. Dormammu
While 2016's Doctor Strange showcased this cosmic demon and a great deal of the power he possesses, the true scale of Dormammu's wrath was left off the big screen for now.
Having served as a looming antagonist to Strange for decades, Dormammu is more than just a magical thorn in the Doctor's side. Identified by the Sorcerer Supreme as "a threat to the life of the universe itself", Dormammu is widely considered to be one of the most powerful mystic entities in the universe.
As a being composed of purely mystical energy (the same stuff that all magic is made up of), Dormammu can do pretty much anything he wants. Being able to manipulate his size, teleport vast distances, possess the bodies of others and creating other demon lords are just a few weapons in his vast arsenal.
Not only this, but Dormammu's power is significantly increased in his own home world, The Dark Dimension, and draws even more power from the worship of his many followers.
As a being with very few vulnerabilities, Dormammu is easily a contender for the most powerful villain and remains an ever present danger to all of reality itself.
