10 Awesome Moments From Mark Waid's Daredevil Run So Far

2. Coyote's Introduction

A new villain, that's what. Right now, the speculation is that The Spot has returned as The Coyote and he's a menacingly terrifying villain this time around. His panel introduction features him putting some sort of teleporting device on Murdock's neck and displaying him a-la Hamlet as Matt can only "look" on in fear. It's a sensational (and Shakespearian) way to introduce the next big bad, and if you're like me, you're absolutely itching to see where this run will lead next. But since Waid did such a brutally brilliant job with his introduction of the teleporting schtick, I hope we can assume more of the same from him will just be comic gold. Since we don't really have Bullseye or the Kingpin around pulling the strings, it's nice to put a face to a name that's willing to go blow for blow with Daredevil for more than one issue. There's been rumors that Coyote could just turn out to be Matt's Joker, and though time will tell, we Daredevil fans could not be more excited.

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
