10 Awesome Moments From Mark Waid's Daredevil Run So Far

10. Matt and Foggy Take Down Their College Professor

Issue 12 primarily focuses on an adorable date between Matt Murdock and Assistant District Attorney Kirsten McDuffie, in which she blindfolds herself for the entire night to experience the evening the way Matt does. As they go about their date, Matt recalls his college days with Foggy, particularly a specific event in which a college professor of theirs who loved Matt (for his handicap and dedication to the law) and loathed Foggy (for coming from money) accused the latter of plagiarizing a report. Quick to find justice, Matt spends the next class period putting his own professor on trial, using his classmates as a jury. The impromptu court case goes just as well as it can, until the professor finds a means of entrapping our hero. Then, suddenly, Foggy finds his voice and fights his own case, ultimately being the driving force behind the duo's first success as law partners. The professor shamefully dismisses the alleged plagiarism and allows them both back to the class for the rest of the semester. And Matt comes to find out that Foggy has taken care of all his financial troubles dealing with school. And one of the greatest bromances in comics begins.

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
