10 Awesome Things You Didn't Know About DC Comics

1. Gotham City Is Technically In New Jersey & Metropolis Is In Delaware

Here€™s a few things you probably didn€™t know about New Jersey. It was the first state to sign the Bill of Rights. The first organized baseball game was played in Hoboken, NJ in 1846. And apparently this is where Bruce Wayne€™s hometown is located. So, it looks like Gotham's reckoning is traffic on the Garden State Parkway. According to the 1990 book "The Atlas of the DC Universe" Gotham City is indeed located in the state of New Jersey. The book also says that Gotham is located across the Bay from Metropolis, which brings us to our next point. Many people seem to think that Gotham is near New York and Superman€™s Metropolis is in Chicago, but that€™s not true at all. In fact, the two cities are indeed right across the bay from one another. So if Gotham is in New Jersey, then that makes Metropolis in Delaware. That€™s right, Delaware. Something else worth noting is that In the television series Smallville, Metropolis is in the same state as Smallville, Clark Kent€™s hometown. That€™s right, it€™s Kansas €“ which, next to Chicago, seems to make sense. Clark is from the Midwest and it makes sense that he would move to a Midwestern City. But now, nothing seems to make sense at all! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together €“ mass hysteria! Are there any other interesting facts that you€™d like to add to the list?
