10 Awesome Things You Didn't Know About DC Comics

4. Clark Kent Works For Bruce Wayne (Wayne Enterprises Owns The Daily Planet)

We all know that Bruce Wayne is a super-wealthy individual. And we all know that his money comes from his majority ownership of Wayne Enterprises. However, not many people know how Wayne Enterprises makes the bulk of their money. As Rutger Hauer€™s character explained in Batman Begins, it€™s all a bit €œtechnical€. In actuality, Wayne Enterprises owns and operates just about anything you can think of. They own an airline, shipping companies, construction companies, biotech companies and even a record label. They also own a little-known newspaper that a certain Man of Steel happens to work at called The Daily Planet. Yup, that€™s right. In the post-Crisis comics' canon, years before Clark Kent or Lois Lane began working for the paper, Lex Luthor actually owned the Daily Planet. Some time later, ownership of the Planet fell into the hands of Bruce Wayne, where it has remained ever since. So, while Superman may be more powerful than Batman overall, just know that Bruce can leave Clark jobless (albeit temporarily) whenever he wanted to.
