10 Awesome Things You Didn't Know About DC Comics

3. DC Has A Supervillain Who Gets His Powers From Using Cocaine

The world of comic books has given us its fair share of bizarre supervillains over the years. From Egg Fu (who is every Asian stereotype in giant egg form) to He-She (who possesses the power of hermaphroditism). However, when it comes to obscure DC supervillains, few are as celebrated as Snowflame, a Colombian bad guy who debuted (and died) in 1988's New Guardians #2. In a nutshell: Snowflame was a crime lord who obtained superhuman powers from inhaling copious amounts of cocaine. Upon getting high as hell, Snowflame would scream about how cocaine was his god, all the while dressed like he was training to become a figure skating champion at the next Olympics. Even though Snowflame kicked the bucket in his first appearance he will always live on in the land of DC absurdness; right up there with Green Lantern dating a 13-year-old and Superman wanting to marry his teenage cousin.
