10 Badass Batman Rogues You've Probably Never Heard About
5. Nite-Wing
Not to be confused with Dick Greyson's Nightwing, Nite-Wing is a loud-mouthed psychopath named Tad Ryerstad.
Tad was orphaned pretty early in his life. He actually doesn't have a legal name, but goes by Tad, short for a tadpole, a nickname, and Ryerstad, which is his favourite beer.
During his youth, Tad cobbled together an education based on stolen comic books, paperbacks, and the movies he snuck into.
He became enamoured with tales of heroes and decided to transform himself into one. He started patrolling the streets, dispensing his own brand of brutal justice. Tad would savagely beat people guilty for any minor offence such as vandalism.
Tad came up with his alter ego while eating at an all "nite" dinner specialising in chicken wings. His time as a hero ended when he teamed up with the real Nightwing.
During their mission, Tad mistook an undercover FBI agent for a petty criminal, and beat the man to death.
Tad might be the worst kind of villain. He's a bad guy who sees himself as the hero. This allows him to justify his violent outbursts. And he couldn't even come up with an original name!
