2. Black Knight: Curse Of The Ebony Blade

Black Knight: Curse Of The Ebony Blade
Marvel Comics

Dane Whitman made his MCU debut in Eternals, so for fans who aren’t sure about his character, and want to learn more about the enigmatic Black Knight, this series is a perfect introduction.

It covers the history of those who have taken the mantle of Black Knight and explores the mythology of the Ebony Blade which featured in that post-credits scene.

It’s a pretty dark series which explores the dark powers of the sword and how they are unlocked. Spoilers, it feeds off anger and inner darkness so for the blade to be effective its user must remain eternally tormented. It does, however, have an upside. The blade can resurrect its owner should they die...so long as they are descendants of Arthur. It’s suddenly obvious why Kit Harrington of Jon Snow fame got typecast in the MCU.

With a story that introduces us to the Ebony Items (yes, there's more than just the Blade) and takes us from ancient Camelot to modern New York and includes characters like Merlin and Dane’s goat-headed butler, Philip, it’s a massive, crazy story that’s guaranteed to leave readers excited to see where Dane’s story takes him in the MCU.
