10 Best Things Batman Has Ever Punched

3. A Shark

The third and final animal on this list. Of all the animals Batman has found himself fighting over the years, none have brought us so many iconic moments as the Great White Shark. First, in the tie-in movie to Batman '66, Adam West finds himself wrestling with a Great White as he dangles from the rope ladder attached to his Bat-Copter. Thankfully, the Shark-Repellent Bat Spray saves the Bat from becoming shark meat. Secondly, in the classic Joker story 'The Joker's Five Way Revenge', Batman is chained up and dropped in a shark tank by the Joker as part of his titular revenge. With no Shark-Repellent to hand, Batman is forced to think on his feet, wrapping his chains around the shark's jaw, he kills the beast and shatters the tank, escaping just in time to beat Joker up on the beach. €œSee the resemblance?€ Joker grins. Sure €“ you're both getting the snot (assuming sharks suffer from snotty noses) beat out of you by the Batman. Where the real shark punching comes in, however, is in 2011's 'Arkham City'. Racing through Gotham Museum, you (in the Knight's big boots) happen across a rogue shark, patrolling a bit of handily placed water. After a little cat and mouse, the game finally lets you cut loose and unleash an Arkham Knight beatdown upon the creature. Batman may have returned to his darker roots since the Shark Repellent Bat Spray days, but some things never get old.
