10 Best Times Spider-Man Teamed Up

3. Cloak And Dagger

Spider-Man Future Foundation
Marvel Comics

Cloak and Dagger, the crime fighting duo, were first introduced in a Spider-Man comic in 1982. However, it wouldn't exactly be called a team up. That issue centred around the pair hunting down and killing the people who experimented on them while Spider-Man chased after them, always one second too late.

While they had their reasons, and it raised some interesting questions about whether Spidey should stop them or not, that's not the comic on this list - nor is it even an adventure with that particular Spider-Man. Instead, it's their run with Miles Morales and Jessica Drew that calls for more attention.

In Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man vol 2 #23, Miles Morales and Jessica Drew - yet another spider person, and a clone of Peter Parker no less - are introduced to Cloak and Dagger for the first time. The pair were chasing a paroled mutant named Bombshell in hopes of answers that time. Yet again, as per usual team-up fashion, the heroes have their conflicts with one another until a larger threat takes priority. That time around it was Taskmaster, sent by the Roxxon corporation to assassinate Bombshell.

The barely formed team survive thanks to Cloak and Dagger, and together they succeeded in taking down the corporation, later expressing an interest in teaming up again. It's good to see the pair of heroes run with characters their own age, and they were the perfect fit for Miles, who did indeed end up teaming up with them again.
