No, this one isn’t centered round an all-out battle of mass destruction either. This one, in fact, focuses on the mother of all group therapy sessions, as Optimus Prime and Megatron have a chat about what led them down their respective paths.

The leader of the Decepticons starts out as a captive at the beginning. Optimus then does the classic good guy move by providing company to his captured arch nemesis and having a friendly discussion about their past.

Written by James Roberts, this two part storyline dives straight into the emotional core of the whole franchise. We get an in depth tour inside the memories and thought processes of the two leaders, offering the readers a window into what really holds their ideologies together.

The first part is dedicated to Megatron, while the second focuses on Optimus Prime. It’s not just philosophical babble either, as we see the real life events that helped shape and form said philosophies. If anyone thought the Transformer franchise was just about guns blazing action, then this is sure to change their minds.
