10 Comic Book Characters Every Reader Wants To Be

5. Iron Man The second character on this list who owes more than a small amount to his portrayal in the adaptation for the screen, ladies and gentlemen, Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, another billionaire genius in a flashy suit (they grow on trees in the Marvel Universe) - in this case, a high-tech battlesuit designed and built by the man himself, €˜billionaire genius€™ being the operating words here. Previously a mid-level superhero in Marvel€™s roster and having just emerged from the Civil War storyline not entirely smelling of roses (he engineered a countrywide registration of all superhumans, resulting a lot of nastiness up to and including the arrest and assassination of Captain America), it took Robert Downey Jnr€™s unstoppable razzle dazzle to rehabilitate Stark€™s faded aura€ and boy, did he. Single-handedly making our Anthony fun, charming and sexy again, he€™s the main reason Iron Man would ever make a list like this, and certainly the single reason he€™d make it to number five. And let€™s be honest€ he only made the suit fly because he knew it€™d be even more of a laugh than racing ridiculously fast cars, right? Yeah, we€™d like Tony Stark€™s life for a day or two.
