10 Comic Book Characters The Joker Has Killed

7. Shrike

The Joker Man Who Laughs
DC Comics

Several characters have taken on the identity of Shrike in the DC Universe over the years. Some of them have been B-list villains, but the version which met his maker in 2010's Knight and Squire #5 was actually a good guy.

Knight and Squire are essentially the British take on Batman and Robin. Although they aren't considered major players in the DC world, they have featured in high-profile events such as Battle for the Cowl and the Batman Incorporated series.

The English dynamic duo have their own version of the Joker to deal with by the name of Jarvis Poker, who's too much of a bumbling fool to pose any kind of threat. His Clown Prince tribute act does, however, draw the real Joker to London to check out the guy who has been ripping him off on the other side of the Atlantic.

The man who laughs formally announced his arrival in Blighty by shooting Shrike dead and watching his corpse float away in the Thames. Next on his to-do list is murder every British hero there is, but Knight and his allies' plans doesn't include dying.
