Given the involvement of The Evil Dead creators Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell in TV's Xena: Warrior Princess, this one was kind of inevitable.

First up Army Of Darkness/Xena Warrior Princess: Why Not?, in which Ash travels to Xena’s universe on the trail of one of Army Of Darkness's mini-Ashes, who fled from the windmill, and into the Necronomicon (don’t ask), which in turn sent him spiralling off to create mischief in Xena-land.

Confusion ensues when Ash crosses paths with the curiously similar-looking Autolycous (both played by Bruce Campbell, see) who everyone mistakes for Evil Ash. Ash and Xena would meet again in, um, Army Of Darness/Xena Warrior Princess: What, Again? – which brings the Warrior Princess to the 21st Century, via a number of odd literary crossovers – and the son of Ash and Gabrielle. No, really.
