9. Ant-Man (Scott Lang)
Over the years, Scott Lang has joined numerous teams throughout the Marvel Universe. He's been an Avenger, Defender, Hero for Hire, and even had a brief stint on the Guardians of the Galaxy - though he has never had a more impactful influence on these teams as he did on the Fantastic Four.
Due to Mr Fantastic's presumed death, the FF requires a technical advisor. On the recommendation of Tony Stark, Scott fills the position, serving in this role in the team for a few years until Reed eventually returns. During Matt Fraction's run on the main Fantastic Four title, Scott led his version of the team with the original group's blessing. With his team, Lang targeted Doctor Doom in the hopes of finally bringing Doom to justice.
Scott has never been the best Ant-Man, let alone best hero, but as part of the Fantastic Four he was the best version of himself as he attempted to fill Reed Richard's shoes.
