Princess Diana of Themyscira hails from an island populated by the Amazons, a reclusive people who've existed since the gods of Ancient Greece roamed the Earth, and yet she can't help but be drawn to the outside world.
When US Air Force pilot Steve Trevor crash lands on Themyscira, Diana embarks on a quest to see "man's world" and eventually becomes so embroiled in the outside world that she becomes the island's legal representative to the US. All throughout, Diana always believes in humanity's potential, championing peace while brandishing her weapons to take on those who'd seek to cause harm against those in need.
She's a warrior, a princess, and one beholden to the values of truth, justice and pacificism. It makes Wonder Woman a uniquely interesting figure in DC's pantheon of heroes, not just as the publisher's fiercest combatant, but as its biggest champion for heroism in general.

He started his own podcast, We Love Dad Movies, in 2022, and has contributed several written pieces to the Eisner-nominated comics website Shelfdust as well.
In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and Golden Age Hollywood Noir. John Carpenter is his fave, and he thinks Batman Beyond should never have been cancelled. If that's your vibe, you'll probably like his stuff.
