10 Comics That CHANGED History

Trouble is a piece of superhero history that perhaps would have been best left untold. Telling the story of Peter Parker’s Aunt May as a teenager, it does little more than recount her frivolous sexcapades. And hey, there’s nothing inherently wrong with that! May Parker has had a tough life, and she deserves just as much sexcapades as anyone else.

The problems stem from the fact that, for a Spider-Man comic book, there is nothing even vaguely ‘super’ about it. It really is just young Aunt May and her sexcapades. It also makes the baffling reveal that May has actually been Spider-Man’s biological mother this entire time, and has kept this secret from Peter Parker his whole life.

For the brief time that this comic was considered canon, this meant that May was only seventeen years older than Peter. The comic has thankfully been retconned and roundly dismissed since, so you can stop worrying about Aunt May looking like the oldest 33 year-old woman in the world.
