3. Immortal Hulk
The Immortal Hulk series is almost tailor-made to change the minds of those who consider the Hulk a boring character - or otherwise a dull tank just made to be in fights.
Because while the series has plenty of amazing battles, it also explores the Hulk as a character in a way that adds endless dimension and depth to the green goliath. Long gone are the days of a monosyllabic, almost-mindless version of the beast, as this version of him is fully articulate, and complete with his own set of motivations, resulting in the most-rounded Hulk we've seen in a while.
Better yet, Immortal Hulk takes Banner and his green companion from being controversial members of the Avengers, to being on the run from the superhero group, which allows for the series to have a far darker tone - and for the Hulk to get away his some decidedly unheroic moves.
