10 Comics Where You Couldn’t Help But Root For The Villain

4. Jason And Leatherface - Jason Vs Leatherface

Wanted Image Comics
Topps Comics

The comic book Jason vs Leatherface did exactly what it said on the tin - bringing together slasher icons Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th) and Leatherface (the Texas Chainsaw Massacre) for the mother (sorry Jason) of all showdowns. What readers couldn't have predicted, however, was how sympathetic the book would be to its two dimwitted monsters. Bonding over their inability to speak and their love of murdering teenagers, the two became good friends, and so a bromance was born.

Sadly, Leatherface's idiotic, chittering family quickly caused ructions between the pair, forcing Leatherface to choose blood over buds. In the final issue, the pair fought, bringing about the titular battle - Leatherface's chainsaw against Jason's machete.

In spite of their combined bodycount and crimes against humanity, one couldn't help but feel for the pair. Who would have thought that a comic book called Jason vs Leatherface could have turned out to be the bittersweet bromance of the century? Not us, but here we are.
