Yes, really. Japan (where else?) has a superhero who goes by the name of Rapeman. The synonymous satirical manga (first published in 1985) sees Keiko Uasake - a handsome and muscular high school teacher by day and a vigilante by night - dispensing a surreal brand of justice through a business called Rapeman Services, which he runs with his uncle (adding to the level of weirdness even more so). The business - the motto of which is Righting wrongs through penetration (again, yes, really) - sees Rapeman doing exactly what it sounds like he does. Worryingly, Pink Pineapple Studios didn't stop with a manga - there have even been several live action movies starring the character (nine, to be precise) and an animated movie. The less said about those, the better. Did you enjoy this article? Were you tickled, puzzled or shocked by any of these entries? Which other crazy superheroes from around the world are you aware of?
