10 DC Characters Who Killed Superman (And What Happened To Them)

With so many Superboys and Supermen around in Infinite Crisis, it's perhaps inevitable that at least one of them would face the Grim Reaper at some point within the comic.

And indeed they do, with the older Earth-Two Superman dying towards the end of the comic after he and the evil Superboy-Prime fly into one of the universe's red suns while fighting, and then crash down onto the planet Mogo. While it also takes Earth-One's Superman to beat Prime down before he is once and truly defeated, his Earth-Two counterpart succumbs to his injuries as soon as the fight is over, in a tragic moment where he passes away while speaking to Power Girl.

Not in vain, though, as we learn at the end of the comic that Superboy-Prime has been placed within a Green Lantern containment cell in the middle of a sun-eater - which continually drains his powers - and is guarded constantly by an entire squadron of the Lanterns themselves, leaving little room for escape.
