6. Captain Marvel Caves In Star's Chest - Captain Marvel
Carol Danvers is no stranger to anger issues. As Captain Marvel, one of the Marvel Universe's mightiest heroes, she has a lot of pressure to remain on top of her game. Every now and then however, she can let loose, doing things that other heroes would only gawk at.
Considering that this particular incident occurs not long after she destroys her own father's grave in a spontaneous fit of rage, and just before she goes on a crusade to kill every active Avenger (under duress from an alien space monster, of course), it may not even be her angriest moment.
When Ripley Ryan is fused with the reality stone, she begins her career as Star, a villain posing as a new-and-improved version of Captain Marvel. Thanks to a Kree power siphon installed in Star's chest by Doctor Minn-Erva, Captain Marvel can't get close to her without being drained of all energy. After peaceful negotiations fail, Carol only has one solution at her disposal: she reaches inside Star's chest like she's performing a Mortal Kombat finisher, and pulls the bloody siphon right out of there.
This is a huge risk, with Captain Marvel having no way of knowing whether or not Star could survive such a gruesome attack. The good Captain shrugs this off, simply stating that "if she's alive, she's dangerous."
Star does survive, and she does continue to be dangerous. Go figure!
