10 Dream Creative Teams To Reboot Batman

6. Matt Fraction & Jorge Fornes

Matt Fraction has had a fair few celebrated runs from Hawkeye, Immortal Iron Fist and Invincible Iron Man to Sex Criminals.

With such pedigree, the writer would be a great fit for Batman, especially if the man under the cowl turned out not to be Bruce Wayne.

This is because literally everyone else in the Bat-family (even Damian, arguably) is less serious than Bruce, meaning that if Fraction were put in charge of the book then he would be able to apply his unique brand of comedy that made series like Hawkeye - and now Jimmy Olsen too - so enjoyable.

As for art duties, it would be great to see Jorge Fornes return to Batman. Fornes has already worked on the book a few times during King's run, and each time those issues have looked brilliant. His style also evokes that of Fraction's previous collaborator David Aja, so could it be a case of lightning striking twice if they were to come together?
