10 Essential Relationship Tips We Learned From Superheroes
6. Create Them Using Magic
We all have an idea of what our perfect partner would be. He looks like this, she has these interests, they have this in common with me, he can fire lasers out of his eyes, she can transform into anything or anyone, they have blue fur which is a total turn-on, blah blah blah. We grow up, though, and realise that person doesn't actually exist, and can't exist anywhere but in our heads. Until we invent robots that can we program to have these exact traits and then have sex with not being terrifying, we have to learn to settle for relationships with people who fit just a few of the essential criteria. Or do we...? No, we're not advocating you dabble in black magic - our lawyers and immortal souls both advise against that - but, well, it worked for Wiccan. In the recent Young Avengers series the adolescent hero began to wonder if his relationship with fellow hero Hulkling was a little too perfect, and perhaps they weren't actually soulmates. Maybe Wiccan had used his reality-manipulating powers to make Hulkling his perfect soulmate. Whatever, they're happy, and adorable, so clearly it works! All you need is some chalk to draw a pentagram, some candles, and to be the illegitimate lovechild of the Scarlet Witch. Easy peasy, perfect partner.
