6. Miles Morales: The Ultimate Spider-Man

Miles Morales is far and away the best thing that's happened to Marvel since the start of the decade, and it's for that reason that every Spidey fan should check out his comics.
Introduced by Brian Bendis and Sara Pichelli in 2011, Miles was brought in as the new series lead when Peter Parker, the then Spider-Man of the Ultimate Universe, was killed by the Green Goblin. Going on to define the mantle in his own way, with a new suit to his name too, Miles set about reigniting Marvel's flailing reality with a series of seminal storylines, each more compelling and different than the last.
Morales was even brought across to the main 616 continuity when the Ultimate Universe went defunct, and while his series in that universe is as compelling as his Ultimate line of comics, fans should really start with the character's introduction before venturing elsewhere. They're all equally brilliant, and Miles - seven years on from his initial introduction - is now a staple of the Marvel Universe.
