A section of the new Justice League Dark reveals that Detective Chimp and Wonder Woman have gone drinking together at least once. The idea of what a conversation between a monkey who is a detective and an amazon champion is basically a pre-made comedy sketch – albeit an incredibly bizarre one.
The sheer contrast between the two sat next to each other at a bar has to make you laugh, at least a little. Failing that, the banter between sulking genius and aggressive warrior is worth a chuckle for sure.
Does this let us hope for the promise of a spin-off bar crawl comic starring the two most at-odds main characters possible? For definite. Would that be the single hardest comic to convince DC to publish ever? Also an absolute definite. But the drinking game they'd play would make the whole thing so worth it.
