10 Hilariously Rubbish Comic Book Villains

9. The Slug

The Slug's main attribute is that he's extremely fat. He has a "gifted intellect," but is totally incapable of moving when not in his personal hovercraft. First appearing in Captain America #325 in 1987, The Slug is a criminal kingpin that has had numerous run-ins with Spiderman, Daredevil and the Punisher. While there have been many physically-challenged supervillains that have flourished thanks to their genius minds, the Slug isn't an outstanding inventor, or omniscient figure. Instead, he's just quite good at crime, although no more than someone more famous like Penguin. Creator Mark Gruenwald hilariously remarked, "at the time, I thought a 1,200 pound man was a bit far-fetched, but I've since read about such a guy in People."
