10 Iconic Comic Book Characters (Without Legendary Comics)

2. Cyborg

Blade Marvel
DC Comics

Cyborg sure gets around doesn't he? One minute he's on the Justice League, the next he's on the Doom Patrol. Once upon a time he was on the Teen Titans but DC seem eager to divest from that interpretation as of late.

And yet he's had very few solo runs all on his own. This goes back to what we said about Martian Manhunter, since Cyborg started off in a team book - the Marv Wolfman era of the Teen Titans - he's been written to have a personality that meshes better with a team than on his own. Sure, he had a solo run back in 2016 written by John Semper Jr. but most people have seemingly forgotten that that run even happened in the first place.

Cyborg is one of the most popular members of the original Teen Titans out there, thanks in no small part to him being shifted around to more popular teams over the years. And yet he lacks the legendary stories afforded to even more obscure characters like Animal Man, who received an Eisner winning run by Grant Morrison.
