2. Venom: Mike Costa & Gerardo Sandoval
Of all the names featured on this list, Mike Costa has to be one of the best.
As one of IDW's foremost writers, Costa commanded G.I Joe and turned it into a series comparable with some of the company's greatest licenses, including both Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Ghostbusters. (I like IDW a lot, okay?) His presence on a Marvel title, then, should illicit some sense of excitement.
And it has done, obviously. Because not only does it look like Venom's back to being, well, venomous, it could also be the case that Flash Thompson is jettisoning the symbiote altogether. Again, none of this is confirmed, but if Thompson really is leaving the black alien goop behind for good, then it would be the biggest shakeup to the Venom brand in almost six years.
Either way, I highly doubt this Venom will be wanting to chill with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Rather, I imagine he'll fancy plating them up and gobbling them whole.
