10 Incredibly Useful Superpowers Heroes Forgot They Had

7. The Hulk Can See Dead People

To be more precise - and a little less Sixth Sense-y - Hulk can see beings on the Astral Plane.

This ability first reared its head during the Green Goliath's time as a member of The Defenders, yet it's a skill that's barely been utilised since.

It was actually in a humourous manner that this power was initially revealed, with an Astral Plane-based Doctor Strange mocking Hulk for his supposed lack of intelligence. While it's generally not a great idea to take the p*ss out of a being whose nicknames include Engine of Mass Destruction and World-Breaker, Strange was safe in the knowledge that it wasn't possible for anybody to see him once he was in the Astral Plane. Only it was possible for somebody to see him - and that somebody was indeed The Hulk.

This in itself was a true revelation and highlighted an until-then unknown ability of Hulk's, and the next time this power surfaced was in a terrifying way for Bruce Banner.

That second time saw Hulk being able to see his dead father. That would be the same father who spent his life abusing Banner in a variety of ways. In fact, so intense was this experience, it drove Hulk to the brink of insanity - which maybe explains why he's tended to steer clear from using this rare superpower.
