10 Insane Alternative Versions Of Batman You Won't Believe
2. Flashpoint Batman
DC’s Flashpoint series brought about the most significant shift in DC comics in years. The series followed The Flash waking up to a strange, new universe where he would meet classic DC characters but with bizarre and dark histories, including Thomas Wayne who was now the Batman.
In Flashpoint, Bruce was the only one shot dead in the mugging. The death of his son led Thomas to take up the mantle of the Batman, but unlike Batman in most other universes, he took a much more brutal approach when hunting down criminals. Flashpoint Batman carried two handguns on him at all times and killed any criminal that got in his way, surpassing even Batfleck's bodycount, believe it or not.
Thomas Wayne had even stripped most of Wayne Enterprises to build Wayne Casinos, which he secretly used to fund his war on crime.
What's most devastating about Flashpoint Batman is that after the death of Bruce Martha was driven insane. Martha slashed her face, carving a permanent smile onto herself. Martha went on to become the Joker of the Flashpoint universe and the only person Batman could not kill.
