10 Judge Dredd Comics You Must Read Before You Die
5. Judgement On Gotham
This one-off, standalone story, sees everyone's favorite Dark Knight meet everyone's favorite Judge, and it's as awesome as it sounds.
When Judge Death jumps dimensions to Gotham, he does what he does best and starts killing people. Before he can go on too much of a rampage, however, Batman intervenes and puts a stop to it. Defeated, his spirit escapes back to Mega-City One, with Bats in hot pursuit.
As soon as he arrives he is arrested for carrying illegal weapons, ie: his utility belt, but he escapes with the help of Judge Anderson, only for Joe to follow him back to Gotham. Here the team-up of all team-ups will happen, as Dredd and the Caped Crusader join forces to stop not only Judge Death but Scarecrow and Mean Machine as well.
It's a riot of a read and, as it isn't canon in either continuity, can be enjoyed as the fantastic story that it is. With enough machismo and posing for even the most testosterone loving fan, the sight of Bruce punching the Mega-City One protector right in his square jaw is worth the cover price alone.
