10 Marvel Comics Characters Deadpool Has Killed
3. Cable
Wade Wilson is having a tough time during the Marvel Legacy era, first being duped into killing poor old Phil Coulson and, more recently, being forced to assassinate his old pal Cable in Despicable Deadpool #290.
The mouthy merc was forced into this one by Cable's clone, the mutant supervillain terrorist known as Stryfe. Faced with the possibility of his daughter coming to harm if he refused, Deadpool reluctantly agrees to carry out the hit.
Cable, it turns out, isn't so simple to assassinate and Wade's initial attempt on his life fails miserably, but when he realises the true nature of Deadpool's predicament, he feels compelled to help him, since Stryfe is his clone and all that.
Concluding that Stryfe is unbeatable, Cable decides they must give his clone what he wants, so he arranges for Wade to travel to the distant future to meet up with an elderly, damaged version of himself nearing the end of his life. Deadpool eases his passing with a single gunshot and take his heart to Stryfe as proof of the deed.
