7. Beta Ray Bill
Fans have been eagerly anticipating the debut of Beta Ray Bill for some time. Many hoped to see him in Thor: Ragnarok. Of course they did! The movie was weird and wacky and silly - in other words, it was the perfect place for everyone's favorite horse-headed Korbinite badass to drop in. Alas, all we got was a small nod; his face was one of many lining the Grandmaster's tower, indicating that he was one of his champions.
Still... we got a nod. That's a big deal, because it means that he exists in the universe. As if that wasn't enough, the Avengers: Endgame script reveals that it was the Korbinites that Nebula, Gamora, and Thanos were wiping out in 2014. Might that be what forced Bill into the Grandmaster's arena? Was he a refugee? Or was he there long before that?
Apparently, an early draft of Ragnarok included Beta Ray Bill, but he was ultimately cut. "Why?" you ask? Kevin Feige told us exactly why. Referring to Bill's cut role, he said, "It was so quick... and it just didn’t do it justice. And the feeling is, if you can’t do it justice, do it later." Might that "later" be 2022's Thor: Love and Thunder?
