2. Deadpool Was The Original Earth Host... Supposedly

Although it's a move seemingly ret-conned by the mythos Bendis created in Guardians, it's an interesting prospect to consider nonetheless: what if Deadpool turned the symbiote evil?

In the third issue of Deadpool's Secret Secret Wars, writer Cullen Bunn retcons the mercenary's involvement into the eighties comic event, and sees the character use the machine that Spidey used to get the black suit during that very series. Sensing the danger posed by the symbiote, Wade immediately departs from the machine however, leaving Spidey to pick up where he left off.

The idea here is that Wade was the one who corrupted Venom, and it's an interesting one to consider if nothing else. The eponymous merc' with a mouth would encounter various symbiotes over the years, but this original interaction - tenuous though it may be - makes for a funny moment in an equally funny series.
