10 Most Badass Wolverine Moments

4. Fighting The Hand - Wolverine #2

Wolverine Hulk
Marvel Comics

Wolverine has been around for a while, and as such, has a lot of connections to unexpected people. One of which is that ever elusive and enigmatic society of ninja people, The Hand.

The Hand have always been a favorite plot device of their creator, Frank Miller, so naturally when he and Chris Claremont teamed up for the glorious Wolverine mini-series, they revealed that Wolverine actually had a connection to The Hand, as he used to date a woman by the name of Mariko, who had ties to them through her crime lord father, and for various reasons had been kidnapped by The Hand.

Obviously, Wolverine does not take kindly to this news, and so he flies off to Japan to rip The Hand asunder. The fight between them is glorious, with The Hand not underestimating Logan at all, instead sending out every able bodied man and woman they have to try and slow Wolverine down, and Wolverine just cleaving through all of them as they leap and bound from roof to roof.

Like the best of Miller and Claremont's partnerships throughout the eighties and nineties, it's bloody and brutal but with that trademark Claremont swashbuckling feel to it that makes Wolverine feel even more awesome as a result.
