10 Most Bizarre DC Crossover Events Since 2000

7. Justice League/Power Rangers

DC Comics/Boom! Studios

While it may not be on quite the same level as the DC universe, the Power Rangers franchise is undoubtedly a pop culture juggernaut in its own right.

The original TV show was a massive hit in the nineties, numerous films and spin-offs have been made, and the Power Rangers have recently even made a splash in the world of comics thanks to publisher Boom! Studios.

In 2017, Boom! and DC published a crossover series in which the Rangers found themselves rubbing shoulders with the Justice League via inter-dimensional travel (a comic book company's best friend when it comes to getting to do whatever they want.)

Given how unrelated the properties are and how silly Power Rangers can be just on its own, it's not a stretch to call this a fairly strange crossover. However, what solidifies Justice League/Power Rangers' place on this list is the juxtaposition between it and the previous entry: Doomsday Clock.

It's as jarring as it is fascinating that DC can cross over with something as campy and kid-friendly as Power Rangers one day, then with one of the darkest, most cynical, adult-oriented comics of all time the next without missing a single beat.
